Mufflers
All Dolmar chainsaws ( except PS34 & PS3410TH ) have the exhaust mounted above the oil tank to warm the oil so it will flow better through the automatic oiler. The exhaust is secured by bolts through the muffler to the cylinder and by two bolts that bolt it to the oil tank. This gives extra support to keep the exhaust in tack.
Mahle Cylinders & Pistons
The best cylinder manufacturer in the World. The Mahle process is a nickel coating inside of an aluminum cylinder. Some manufacturers use a completely aluminum cylinder or chrome plate them. However the heat generated from these small air cooled engine is tough on the cylinder. We have seen from experience that the Mahle cylinders hold up better than anything anybody has used on chainsaws. Dolmar uses Mahle on all it's chainsaws and power cutters.
