A Real Machine |

I owned a smaller Sachs Dolmar years ago and really like it so I was willing to try a Dolmar again especially considering that it is a much better deal than a Stihl and is lighter than a Husqvarna. I was not disappointed. The power to weight is the best in the business based on my research and though the Dolmar name is not big in the U.S.A. it is a very respected name. This saw far outperforms my old Husqvarna 570 and a friend who runs 90cc Stihls (064, MS660) was impressed with it as well. I am bucking large oaks with ease and speed and felling is now easier and safer too. I am very happy with this saw and extremely happy with the price. I do like the on/off auto choke of the newer Husqvarnas but that is minor compared to what this saw delivers power to weight.

after using the saw over the weekend,im even happier than upon receiving it last week!this saw cut oak as fast as my other saws cut equiv. diameter rounds of pine,fir, or cedar. it would be very easy to forget the displacement of this saw's engine since it's so well balanced,and light for its power rating,at least until you realize how fast your cutting,truly impressive!I also own a Husqvarna 372XP.and a Jonsered 2165,both in good shape,and both excellent saws,along with some small Stihl's and a small husky,and this Dolmar 7900 is truly in a different league......i just may have to consider a Dolmar PS5100 as a replacement for the little saws.....but that's another day!

Gotta Get One!!!!! |

I have always used Stihl saws and they are great. I was looking for a bigger saw and thought I would give Dolmar a try, and am I glad I did. The 7900 is one smooooooth saw, it is light, powerful and fast. You can't beat this saw for the money, I still love my Stihl's, but now I love my Dolmar's too.
